SUPPLY REQUEST

The Hope Center is continuing to serve the physical and spiritual needs of our clients. We will continue to do so as long as we have supplies to present to them. Right now due to limitations on amounts we are able to purchase at one time this is becoming more difficult.

We would like to ask you if, when you are out shopping and you don't need to buy one for yourself, you could help us by picking up some hand soap (the kind in the pump bottle), toilet paper, and disinfecting wipes. We will have a drop off bin outside The Hope Center (1316 W Lawrence St, Appleton, Door #5) during our regular hours:

Tuesdays: 9:30-11:30
Wednesdays: 2:30-4:30
Thursdays: 1:00-3:00

Or you may call the office at 920-739-0039 and let us know where we can pick up supplies.

Thank you for your assistance and prayers.

Who are we?
The Hope Center is a group of volunteers from the Fox Valley area WELS churches who provide physical and spiritual support in Christian love for local families who are struggling with physical needs. We provide material assistance (baby supplies, personal hygiene items, cleaning supplies, etc.) and are a distribution site for the Fox Cities Diaper Bank.

Where are we located?
We are located at 1316 W Lawrence Street, Appleton. This is behind St. Matthew Lutheran Church (located on Mason Street, one block off College Avenue).

How can I receive help?
We seek to provide help and hope to those in need in the Fox Valley. No matter what your age, nationality, race, income, disability, or religion, we are here to help. We care and we can help! All services are free and confidential.

New clients: Please call 920-739-0039 or email thehopecenter1316@gmail.com to schedule an initial intake appointment.
Current clients: Please drop in during our office hours and a volunteer will assist you.

How can I help?
The Hope Center appreciates prayers to our gracious God on our behalf. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact us via phone at 920-739-0039 or email thehopecenter1316@gmail.com. We also appreciate your financial assistance and donations of hygiene items and cleaning supplies. All donations are tax deductible.

If you have questions or would like more information, please contact Kara Witthuhn, Client Services Director of The Hope Center, at 920-739-0039.

Compelled by the love of Jesus, we provide help and hope to those in need—for now, and for eternity.

The Hope Center is an outreach ministry of WELS United based in Appleton, WI. The Hope Center is a volunteer, non-profit agency that is financially supported by the members of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS). We are a 501c3 non-profit agency. Donations are tax deductible.

As we near the end of 2021 The Hope Center wishes to share our joy in our ministry with you all!

We have added 73 new families this year. In the first 10 months of 2021, we've supplied 971 households and nearly 3500 individuals in those households. Often that means over 100 clients a month. We're so blessed to share Christ's love so generously. Thank you for your partnership in this with your many gifts and prayers.

In 2021, Hope Center volunteers have given over 1000 hours of service. In addition to buying, stocking, data entry, and filling orders, our volunteers are reaching out to our clients by taking prayer requests and being there to listen, and give encouragement. We're always looking for more to share in this volunteer ministry. Please contact us if interested.

The two pastors from St. Matthew who serve at The Hope Center are present about 4 hours each week, and often on-call. This last year 4 clients have enrolled in BIC and one family had their children baptized. Hundreds of follow-up contacts have been made, and dozens of prayer requests taken (including some by our Muslim families, who have had a chance to learn more about our Lord).

We did hold our Thanksgiving dinner again this year, thanks to those who answered our call to serve. While not well attended, Pastor and volunteers deepened their connections with several attendees.

We are now looking toward Advent and the Celebration of the birth of our Lord.

Many of you have, in the past, expressed a wish to "Adopt a Family" If you would like to do that again this year please call The Hope Center 920-739-0039 and ask for Jen or Susan. If you are hosting a Giving Tree this season please let us know. If you have never hosted a Giving Tree and would like to, we would love to make ornaments for your tree. Phone The Hope Center 920-739-0039.
